Farts As Medicine

According to medical history in the 17th century, doctors actually advised patients to keep their farts in jars. This is not a funny thing.

According to David Haviland's bizarre medical book author 'Why You Should Store Your Farts in a Jar & Other Oddball or Gross Maladies, Afflictions, Remedies and Cures' for better health keep your farts in the jar and smell it when you feel weak.

Haviland said the recommendation of storing farts was part of a doctor's order in England during the Great Plague of London 1665. This disease caused the population to fall into flies. Knowledge of medicine was very limited at that time.

The outbreak is believed to be a deadly vapor in the air where doctors think it can be cured by body odor. In this way, when the outbreak occurs, they can open the jar and breathe a foul odor to prevent it from getting infected.
