Uninhabited Cities In The United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is famous for its luxurious living and skyscrapers. Dubai in the United Arab Emirates is the destination of many dreams. There are plenty of artificial islands, luxury hotels as well as popular Hollywood and Bollywood movie filming.

But not many people know, 113 Kilometers from Dubai, there is a region called Al Jazirah Al Hamra in Ras al-Khaimah. It is derived from the Arabic language meaning "The Red Island".

In about 1 hour and 30 minutes by car, you will reach a city full of uninhabited buildings. Travelers who first came there called it a dead city, but the UAE itself called it a ghost town!

Al Jazirah Al Hamra has a long history. The city has been inhabited by humans since the 14th century and according to the gregory calendar to date, is about 717 years ago.

Hundreds of years ago, the city became known as a port city and for many fish production. Many people from Europe like Britain came here to trade.

The inhabitants of the Al Jazirah Al Hamra are people of the Zaabi tribe. Most of them work as fishermen.

In 1968, there were no more occupants of the Al Jazirah Al Hamra. Homes, mosques and shops are simply abandoned. Some buildings are still standing, while others remain debris.

The local government just let it go. Then came the shocking issue of people living in Al Jazirah Al Hamra and Dubai.

The issue is about the appearance of the spirits or demons that are roaming there! The numbers aren't one or two, but there are many. Some paranormal researcher there claim that the spirits who lived in Al Jazirah Al Hamra was from a powerful group of evil spirits.

Adding to the already uninhabited city and no more electricity flow, it makes the atmosphere in Al Hamra Al Jazirah look so scary. The people of Dubai themselves do not dare to go there.

Unlike tourists, they are excited to come to Al Hamra Al Jazirah. But for tourists who come here if they want to be accompanied by a local guide, the only requirement is to be there only on daylight. To this day, Al Hamra Al Jazirah has been named a ghost town in the UAE.
